Why kids should learn to love music ?

Music is an activity that engages the whole brain, which allows children to store information into their long-term memories more easily. It helps to improve memory through rhyme, rhythm and melody. Children with musical training have shown significantly better verbal memory skills compared with children without such instruction

One year of musical training affects development of auditory cortical-evoked fields in young children. When preliminary school pupils are exposed to early musical training, over a period of time they can grow to have a better memory for words, find it easier to learn in school, and better remember experiences that they encounter in their daily lives.

On top of that, music can help to enhance your child’s concentration levels. Songs that your kids love can help them to stay on task, while helping them cope better with stress too. Practice, performances, and musical examinations can help children build self-discipline and self-confidence as well.

Top 5 Reasons Music Proves to be so Inspirational

Music has been around as long as man, and throughout the ages people have reveled in the joy of creating music, singing songs, and dancing along to the sounds. But what is it about music does that inspires so many of us each day?

1. It Makes us Move

Music has a strange power over the human body and, in an almost hypnotic way, it manages to make people move their body to the sound. Nothing is more fun than listening to some good music and getting your groove on.
From the rhythmic drumming of tribal dance music, to the fun trumpet sounds of the South American brass band; music has truly undeniable inspirational power. The scientific basis for the inspiration to dance and its close connection to music is still not really understood, but anyone who has listened to music knows that it promotes an undeniable urge to head-bob, toe-tap, and clap.

2. It Plays With Your Heartstrings

Some forms of music are extremely inspirational due to the powerful words contained in the lyrics. Strong lyrics can create a story, which can inspire emotion within the listener. Whether it’s a song about love, loss, lust, or the hardships of life, there is always going one person who can connect with what the song is saying, and consequently becomes inspired by it. Some genres of music are driven by the lyrics alone. Many musicians often wonder, “How can I get my music on iTunes and spread the message?” Artists have a strong desire to engage their audience on an emotional level.

3. It has Spiritual Significance

Religious or spiritual music has a unique ability to make us feel closer to our spiritual side. Through spiritual songs and other musical compositions, people are able to learn, become uplifted, motivated, and closer to their Truth. It can really help to inspire you to want to change the way you are living and move forward in a better way or simply just to relax and meditate.

4. It Transcends Place and Time

Life is all about creating new experiences. Each time you listen to a new band or a new style of music, you are essentially expanding our experience or concept of the world. Foreign or even unusual music styles, such as listening to tribal African music or the unique strumming of classical Asian instruments, can transport you to a different mental space, even if you are simply sitting at your work desk imagining a different place and time.

5. It Connects People

Music has a unique ability to join people together like nothing else on earth. Large concert events like the Live 8 music festival promote the power of music and social harmony. All around the world people use music to bring together communities and friends to unite in the enjoyment of sound and sometimes this is all the inspiration needed to bring about change.
